We all need a community for support and help, especially in times of transition or crisis. Our goal at First Pres is to walk with you… wherever it is you find yourself… so you don’t have to walk alone. Check out the classes, information, groups, and other resources we provide. They will help you connect with others, find a friendly face, and remember you are not alone. May God’s peace and grace be with you during this time.
If you would like to talk to a pastor, contact the church office at 719.542.7322. Our church secretary, Lyn Mabey, will connect you with one of our pastors. After hours, please leave a message on voicemail, and someone will contact you as soon as possible.
Everyone needs emotional and spiritual support at some time in life. Our goal at First Pres is to provide that support through one to one confidential Christian care, and our Prayer Team ministry.
One to One Confidential Christian Care
Stephen Ministers bring distinctively Christian care to those in need; those whose life journey has become a little rough with stresses, loss, caring for a new baby or a family member, or illness. Using both words and deeds, these trained individuals express Christ’s care for others, calling on the training they have received and employing the tools of faith.
We offer support and learning opportunities for parents and grandparents throughout the year. See the calendar or email us for current classes. This year we will offer:
- 1-2-3 parenting magic seminar
- Parent Nights Out
Growing Through Divorce is a course designed to help those going through a divorce, as well as those who have been divorced for some time and need help rebuilding their lives. Childcare available. Call the church office for more information.
We host Alcoholics Anonymous which meets weekdays at noon.
Narcotics Anonymous meets 7:00 pm daily.
The pastoral staff of First Pres are available to provide funeral services to both church members and others in the community. Click here to download a guide to services and cost. XX link
