Rev. Dr. Brad Munroe Pastor
Brad graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div.) and San Francisco Theological Seminary (D.Min.) and loves racquetball, tennis, hiking and all things sports related. Brad is married to Laura and has two teenage children, Chris and Matt.
Rev. Scott VanderWal Associate Pastor
Scott grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and attended Hope College in Holland, MI. He studied Social Work and after college moved to Colorado Springs to join the staff of the Dale House Project. In his 5 years at the Dale house Scott was part of a team who mentored and lived with neglected and abused teenagers who could not return home and did not have the skills necessary to live independently. His favorite memories were celebrating holidays with the community, which included taking a trip to the Grand Canyon and Disneyland each Christmas. During his time at the Dale House Scott began his theological studies at Fuller Theological Seminaries Colorado Springs campus. Scott is married to Jill and they have two children Judah and Zoe.
Rev. Jill VanderWal Associate Pastor
Jill grew up in Boulder, CO, and attended the University of Washington in Seattle where she studied International Relations. After college Jill moved to Colorado Springs and was the Senior High School Program Director at First Presbyterian. Her favorite memories of that time are house boat trips to Lake Powell with 60 teenagers and mission trips to Chicago, Wyoming, Nicaragua and Mexico. Jill also attended Fuller Theological Seminary while working at First Presbyterian and finished her MDIV in Pasadena with Scott.
Rev. Dr. Teddy Chuquimia Hispanic Church Pastor
Teddy is the second pastor for the Hispanic Presbyterian Church, a new church development that nests within First Presbyterian. Teddy and his wife, Azucena, are from Bolivia and have served in the U.S. for over 20 years.
Rene Morrissey Youth Director
Rene is one of the only middle-aged youth in Pueblo: “young at heart” does not begin to describe her energy and enthusiasm. Yet, as a mother of two college graduates, Rene’s maturity and experience guide our junior and senior high youth deeper into Christ.
Jennifer Ritter Music Director
Jennifer is our newest staff member at First Presbyterian having come to us this summer.
Lyn Mabey Church Secretary
Lyn is our resident “Brit,” who migrated across the Pond with her late husband, Roger, 13 years ago. Questions about what is going on? Ask Lyn first!
Karen Brooks Rhea Financial Secretary/Office Manager
Karen has been at First Presbyterian for ten years and is the person you need to know around here if you want a bill paid, a giving statement or anything else to do with money. Interestingly, Karen majored in biology, not accounting, which may explain her great love for turtles.
Karl Fischer Custodian
Karl came to us from the food service industry where he has owned and/or managed shops for over two decades. Karl is also our "Kitchen Coordinator" responsible for food prep at our weekly Wednesday night Presbybar and other church gatherings.
