Blessed to Be a Blessing
Cooperative Care Center - A founding partner of the “COOP,” First Presbyterian is among the downtown churches that sponsor the Cooperative Care Center which provides food and clothing to needy persons.
Habitat for Humanity – A founding partner of Pueblo’s Habitat chapter, First Presbyterian contibutes to this international, ecumenical
ministry that provides decent, affordable housing to families.
Hispanic New Church Development – A founding partner of Pueblo Presbytery’s HNCD, First Presbyterian “nests” Pastor Teddy Chuquimia and his congregation, providing administrative support, office and worship space as well as joining cooperatively in children, youth and adult programs when possible.
Pueblo Interfaith Hospitality Network – A founding partner of PIHN, First Presbyterian is one of several local churches who host homeless families for a week at a time in the church building. There are many volunteer opportunities such as setting out breakfast in the morning, cooking the evening meal, or spending the night with our guests in the church.
Youth Missions – Our middle and senior high youth participate throughout the year in service projects in our community as well as local mission trips in the Southern Colorado region.
Financial Peace University – This video based, small group curriculum is based on the popular Dave Ramsey series and meets for 13 weeks. It is offered at cost to members of our community.
Becoming a Love and Logic Parent – This video based curriculum meets for seven weeks and is offered twice a year to help parents learn both the art and science of good parenting. It is offered at cost to members of our community.
